Hello and happy Friday to you! Our kids started back to school on Wednesday this week and all of a sudden, our routines are different. I took that first day to catch up on some of the things that I had left undone and snuck in some episodes of Virgin River. It has been awhile since I have sat down in the middle of the day and watched tv.
I have some fun finds for you this week, including a plethora of food based gifts from Better Homes and Gardens that would be perfect for a housewarming or just thinking of you sort of gift. Take a peek at The Inspired Room post about adding touches of Fall to your home and check out the chocolate chip cookie recipe I am dying to make this weekend. Finally, if your windows and mirrors could use a little cleaning, I updated my uber popular post with my DIY glass and mirror spray.
I love making gifts for people and especially appreciate things that are consumable and not just another trinket or something that will add clutter. These food based gift ideas from Better Homes and Gardens would be welcome in pretty much anyone’s home. Which one is your favorite?
I have always appreciate Melissa’s simple and inspiring posts and books that encourage the embrace of seasons, rhythm and routine. Fall is not far away and I am leaning in to all the cozy things.
We love Sarah from The Vanilla Bean Blog in our home. Not only does she have a fantastic cookbook and blog, she just happens to share one of our favorite cookie recipes, pan banging chocolate chip cookies. When I saw her new recipe for the perfect chocolate chip cookie, it immediately went on our weekend must-makes.
I am always amazed by how wonderfully my DIY glass and mirror spray works. It has long been a favorite on my blog and I updated it this week for you. Goodbye, dog nose prints and fingerprints!
